About Us

FCC staff participate in internal training workshops that focus on: residential care techniques, limit setting, developmental stages, trauma informed practice, ethics, and supervision. Additionally, FCC staff are qualified and trained in Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behavior (U.M.A.B). Staff are matched with program needs based on education, experience, clinical expertise, and the unique needs of the individual/program. Supports can be offered to group care programs, foster homes, academic settings, hospitals, family homes, and other community settings. The needs of the individual can include (not limited to): behavioral, social, emotional, developmental, trauma, A.D.H.D., autism, ASD, neuro-developmental disorder, aggression, self harming, family access support, mentor-ship, etc.

Qualifications – At minimum FCC staff have a human services educational background and or combined educational and experience background. Qualifications can include (not limited to): Child and Youth Worker Certification- Diploma- Degrees, Social Service/Work diploma/degree, Developmental Services diploma, Addictions Counselling certificate/diploma, Personal Support Worker certificate/diploma, Practical Nursing Diploma, etc.
